I'm testing out the default sound card that came with my new Dell Studio 17. I figured I'd fraps the event and share it for the whole world to see.

Hi ! Are you happy with the built in speakers ? I have a studio 17 on order and now read lots of bad reviews about low and tinny sound from the speakers

The default speakers aren't THAT bad, just not that good either. They remind me of headphone speakers, nothing amazing but gets the job done when you need audio.

If you want good sound I recommend running it to a receiver of some sort. I run the audio to my stereo with the Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook sound card.

The game is called Audiosurf. You can purchase it via Steam for like 10 bucks or so.

Yes it does have poor speakers but its one of the very few flaws for this great notebook

the speakers suck, i run mine thru 5.1 surround! The Idt audio is a bit cofusing at first.
