@ojuicedogg Well I prefer the logical approach in things. More evidence leans towards the Big Bang and evolution and there's no evidence for a God. God was our ancestors' way of understanding things they didn't understand. But now, as we continue research, we find that God isn't the answer to those questions anymore. We don't have the answer to everything yet, but we've made pretty good progress in the past 200 or so years.

I do understand where you arre coming from, have battled same issues deeply in myself that u bring up here. hate the same things in the world, the suffering the injustice... I just know in my heart we r all in the same boat & its going down... and only Jesus has ever offered hope to a dying world and scared people. it still doesnt stop me crying out "why does it have to be this way in the first place!?"

@ojuicedogg If Jesus died for sin, why are people still being born in parts of the world where they could never have possibly even heard of Jesus, thus damning them to hell? There are all these other religions that would love you tell you you're wrong. So how are people supposed to know what religion to choose from? Is it just "Oh sorry, Christianity isn't available in your country. Sucks for you!"? If you were raised, say, Hindu, you'd be telling Christians why they're wrong. Don't you see?

@Kenny2k08 I think you will find Jesus proved God is more than powerful enough to stop "this shit" from happening - raising people from the dead out of compassion. The problem is not God's power or love, and always remember he has actually experienced the most intense suffering, more than any human on the cross, and he weeps as we weep, feels our pain and relates to us. He is not unconcerned. As CS Lewis wrote so clearly, "pain is God's megaphone to the world": "wake up!"

@ojuicedogg No, because if God is so damn powerful, he would be able to stop this shit from happening. He's not absent, he just doesn't give a fuck what happens to us. He's up there with a bag of popcorn watching children starve. What kind of loving God is that? I was raised a Christian until I opened my mind and noticed the countless fallacies in the Bible and it all seems so unbelievably stupid now. Hell, the bible doesn't even mention dinosaurs and says the Earth is flat. Complete give away.

@Kenny2k08 because of the ABSENCE of God's total rule. Hence the coming Kingdom of God that Jesus showed us glimpses of. Everywhere he went he set people free from opression and healed all diseases, provided food for the hungry etc. And Jesus is the exact representation of God's heart for mankind. Now you are beginning to understand my friend:)

@ojuicedogg Isn't there enough misery, torment and suffering BECAUSE of God? Brainwashing in North Korea, millions upon millions starving, people born terribly deformed, corruption in many governments, people committing murder in God's name, thousands of diseases and sicknesses... must I continue? If God is supposed to be so loving, I'd hate to see the power of a hateful God. Life, breath, nature, etc. are the results of millions of years of development. It wasn't easy to get to this point.
