@mrminimatic i'm australian--i agree with you-100%-if theres any more you like to add-please do-but norman is a character actor played by garry mcdonald-who had a breakdown playing this character norman in the early 90s-it just got to him in the end-and hasnt done him since--but in the early days he was fearless in his comedic questionings--as you can see on the right thumbnails->-they didnt know what to think of him..they couldnt believe his hairstyle.

@ProfessorPabs I should have made it clear from the start that I am an Australian and I love being one too. But i do agree with you here, there are many kind hearted decent people in Australia but it is the rude and selfish ones that you often remember. However i think my argument has sort of been lost in translation, but I think the Australian youth are conforming to become a lot like americans, particuarlly here in Brisbane. no longer do we dress in singlets, stubbie shorts or drink XXXX beer

@mrminimatic Whilst I cant defend others behaviours, I can say this you are overly harsh in your assessment of Australians. Every race has it's bad, the English (poms) have the reputation here as being ungrateful, rude, lazy and over entitled. The problem is for every 30 you meet, you'll meet one underclass dipwit who believes they're more entitled as they're from the motherland and aren't convict descendant scum. We all tend to judge groups by their worst rather then their best.

Ha. My fondest memory of the sad alcoholic Keith Moon. Deported from Australia and carried a huge grudge. Fell into Norman's trap just like Elliot Gould : thought it was for real and having zero sense of humour and being very insecure made a total dickhead of himself on TV and now cyberspace forever.
