This shows you how to start a chain, to turn your work and make a single stitch with just your fingers. No needles!

  • how do you get three strads of yarn ??????????

  • @dancer5104 You use three skeins. (3 balls of yarn)

  • how are you getting the three strands? are they from three different balls of yarn?

  • Your initial stitch is called a Slip Knot, not a slip stitch. There is a difference. Slip knots begin the work, and have the initial KNOT. The slip stitch is made only into other stitches, and does not have a knot.

  • what was the point of making this video if its not useful

  • If I make a blanket would this start it, if I kept going with the chain?!?!?!?

  • I love just using my hands :)

  • I was struggling before but now it's easy!

  • How exactly do you use 3 strands? Do you just pull apart the entire skein and cut it into 3 long strands?

  • @mrzkpz11 no, you don't, it just makes your works bulkier. specially if you intend on making something like a blanket. its better to have more than one strand.

  • do I have to use 3 strands or can it be just as nice with 1 or 2

  • great tutorial. Mine doesn't look as nice as yours, but I'm going to keep practicing. I find that my stitches are too tight; having difficulty getting fingers into the hole.

  • @ILVerdeFolletto I'm finding the same problem, but I had the same problem when using a hook.

  • @andreww661 I know! I've been sitting here trying and mine doesn't look quite as nice as hers. I can make the chain, but mine don't look as light and fluffy as hers. I must have fat fingers and can't seem to get my fingers through those loops as easily. I'm just going to keep practicing : )
