1979 - My parents topped off a trip to the Los Angeles Zoo with a stop at the Stadium Drive-In to see Phantasm. Guess which part of that day I remember the most?

  • Thanks for uploading this! The Phantasm soundtrack is absolutely amazing.

  • You're very welcome! I love it, too :-)

  • This is a beautiful soundtrack. You seem like a big horror fan.

  • Lifelong :-)

  • Always good to find people who like classic horror. There aren't too many these days. Which movie do you consider the scariest? :)

  • I'm hard to scare when it comes to films, but the most disturbing one for me is probably Audition. I'm a big Takashi Miike fan, his films really stay in my head.

  • This is possibly my favorite scene in the movie. So creepy when I saw it as a child!

I have this OST also and it is one of my favorites, along with "The Omega Man" by Ron Grainer.

  • Ahhh the silver sphere loved it flying around in the morturary

  • BOY!!!!!

  • LOVE THIS! EPIC!!!

  • You can see a guy with a camera in the reflection? lol

  • @tacsnktsa I'm a tall man, but i'm not nearly as scary. BOOOOOOOOOOOOY!!!! See? Not scary.

  • @moonrice555 I can see what you're saying. In a way, these movies were sort of like shooting fish in a barrel: the "good guys" as you call them were defenseless. The movie DID scare me---don't get me wrong---but I still see your point. The villain in this movie was too god-like. Jaws could only kill you in the water. Freddy could only kill you in your sleep. This guy could get you whenever, where ever. I guess what's why I don't like ghost movies: there are no rules.

  • @tacsnktsa I love horror but I never really liked this series because I felt there was never any point. I mean, there was no conflict---you knew from the get-go that the bad guy would win and all the good guys were screwed. I'm ok with the good guys losing---but at least give them a chance or else there is no suspense. Plus they always "cheated" him back to life. If you kill him and he comes back to life, that's fine---but be creative. Don't just have him alive in the next shot.

  • Oohhhhhh The Tall Man.... scariest character ever...

I always think of Michael running after Reggie's ice cream truck when I hear this song...So spooky. So compelling...The darkness. The danger. The Sphere...

  • This is my favorite track on the album next to the chase finale.

  • Wow, I thought Mob Deep was original with this beat...
