They probably had more pussy than anybody telling them that they were "Gay" back in the days, just cause they used to dress like that. Seriously like you I dont get why anybody would call this "gay". I think this finger-pointing everytime leads us to a bigger reality: "somebody" never "came out of the closet" and wishes that these guys and more were "gay".

I`d never put Slade and gay in the same bracket. You go ahead and love them mate they were serious rockers stuck with a label of glam. Check out the Anthology Live album and Anthology 4 disc set ...superb for most of their work.
