This style is called "slingshot" pitching. It's been around for years.

@Amieesbootyful lol.. Learn your science -.-" a 100mph baseball pitch doesn't equal 130mph pitch(if pitched with the same speed). In softball you throw just as hard, but because you have a shorter distance it gives you less time to think and react to hit the ball. In this case it's the batter's perceived speed, and not the actual speed of the ball, which is what radar guns are calculating...
