The Stench of Truth 141 Part 1 Watch Ella's videos on torture, I can do no better treatment to the subject than she has. 55ella2007k; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQNd_fE-B3I and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ug7E4GYzyio&feature=channel_page

Torture allowed anywhere under any circumstances gives an opening to this being USED ON THE PEOPLE OF THIS COUNTRY BY THE GOVERNMENT. If you support torture you are against our Constitution and it's protections.

  • Is the US a nation of laws or not?

If we are, lets just follow the rules. Charge the Al-Qaeda prisoners as unlawful combatants, give them a trial, and then shoot the guilty ones.

Not even the UN can argue with that since it is right from the Geneva Convention.

Or we can just ignore the law and torture - which is bullshit.

We hanged Japanese and Nazis for that very crime after WWII.

Is that who we wish to become?

  • I agree absolutely.

  • @tenebroust If we are to prove to the USA has progressed, we need better methods.

  • @airforcemax You're damn right we do.

  • @tenebroust and everyone who GIVES A DAMN !!! The USA needs an open forum for profit and nonprofit organizations that are pro-worker (pro-business), the labor with supporters for viable solutions.

  • @airforcemax Agreed.

  • @Peridolin President Barack Hussein Obama II needs to remember the spirit of "Change We Can Believe In." Who and what are hindering him from his promises? I do my part by writing letters through the White House website. 55ella2007k and orwellsdaughter give excellent commentaries and I am proud to say we are friends. The USA needs an open forum for profit and nonprofit organizations that are pro-worker (pro-business), the labor and supporters for viable solutions.

  • Torture is dispicable.

Remember the rats that were used in 1984? I am sure that they prevented some "terrorism" in Oceana too.

  • You're right. I'm not surprised he got mad. The argument is valid as it is at the crux of this issue. People who support this HAVE TO be in favor of this being brought here and used on us or they can't support it at all.

  • Very well put. I actually used your same argument about using torture on presumed murderers in this country with a retired navy man and he actually got mad. They (republicans) like to use the argument "well they dont recognize a nation or wear a uniform therefore they dont fall under the geneva conventions" FAIL. Enemy combatants are EITHER military POW's OR civilian combatants, and they both fall under the geneva conventions. No one falls outside the law.
