The buffalo hunter in the old days would have also reused their brass cases - as far as I know, these were difficult to produce in the 1870s - those must've been pretty expensive back then? In that Quigley flick, he collects them all, and finds a German gunsmith who reloads them for him accord. to his specifications

@Quigley122 can you make a video about reloading 45/120 cases? Do you paper patch them too? What equipment you use...etc
-
at 10 bucks a round, i would hope you make them count

I have a 458 win mag that I would not put up aginst this gun, nice shooting. I always wanted a Sharpes45-120, what a rifle!!!!!!

This may be my favorite rifle design. Theirs just something about a sharps that makes you smile when you squeeze the trigger.

Christian Sharpe built a hammerless rifle, I believe it was called a Borschart model. Anyone ever seen one? Same dropping block action but hammerless.

Very nice grouping sir! How did you edit the video with a PICTURE in PICTURE on the top right of the screen? thanks.

@craveman85 The rifle in the video is an ArmiSport Quigley. Sense this video was was shot I have recieved
a Shiloh Montana Roughrider in 45-110. Have another Shiloh due to be delivered tomorrow in 38-55.

any idea why the point of impact shifted that much? what bullet/lube combo are you using. im casting 45-70 but having a difficult time with accuracy.

@craveman85 From the conversation I've had with other shooters it seems it has something to do with the shooter. The load in the video I think was 116 grs of swiss 1F and a 525 gr RCBS cast bullet. SPG lube Norma brass and CCI BR2 primers.

Cabelas sells this gun for $1800, the ammo makes it too expensive to shoot on a regular basis at around $7.15 per shot for the 45-120 , buying a box of 20 rounds for $143.00, this is definitely not a poor man's gun, and as a reloader myself I'd like to know how much it costs to reload

@undergroundbasement
Best I can figure around .75 each, If you already have brass and the reloading eq.
