  • Had two-piece agitators since the 70s.... never had a problem.... anything MIGHT happen if you LOOK for it to happen.....!??? So why worry, be happy!!!

  • @Gaygarious heh, nice comment!

  • I believe for BD Kenmores/Whirlpools, the stroke is about 185

  • @NVHSChadSheppard1 Cool deal, I was pretty close :)

  • Answering your question: I bought a Maytag "Bravos" Automatic Washer, Model MVW B300WQ2, and I don´t know if it has a washer plate.

Concerning the agitator, I once had a Whirlpool with a single piece agitator. The new one I had, and all the ones I went to see before I bought the Maytag, all had the agitator with the bottom part that has the shape of flaps or wings, separated form the round base. There is space enough for clothing and towels to get tangled there.

  • @elizallenza OH, I see what you're saying now. That's interesting, I personally have not had issues with things getting stuck under the vanes and getting tangled. I guess it just depends on what's in it.

  • @Sharkie626 Oh okay. I haven't seen you on youtube for a while, too.

  • @elizallenza (Reply to both comments) I'm a little confused here, are you saying that you now have the washer with the wash plate instead of the agitator?

Also, when you are talking about the flaps being separated, do you mean the Dual Action agitator compared to the single-piece straight vanes?
