I really believe that someone from 1953 would have a harder time believing that we made it to the moon and then gave up the capability to get there than they would believing that we ever did get to the moon.

This was actually three episodes of an unsold TV series [created and written by Robert Heinlein!], "strung together" (with additional scenes) for theatrical release {sorry, 'jude'!}. At the time, Hayden Rorke was just starting to make his presence known in Hollywood-based film and TV roles. Ken Roberts is the announcer...
