As I walked around the Otsuka area where I'm staying in Tokyo, I heard the sound of drumming and voices. At every turn, they were there and they were carrying someing. My curiosity made me focus in on what was happening, when I met them again, at the train station and had an up-close view of the Buddhist shrine they were carrying. I took photos and later, when they were just across the street from me, I took this video. Photos are at http://http://www.mylifeoftravel.com/Diva%20JC.home

  • Hi Nice clip, but they're not Buddhists. It's a neighbourhood festival. The float (mikoshi) they're carrying is related to Shinto gods, not Buddha. But thanks for posting it. :)

  • Thanks for the clarity. Took me a long time to find your comment, but you learn something new every day!
