@TheArcticcatrider ...It can change the ratios, so you dont have to be going down the highway at 6000 rpm.
It actually goes down the highway at about 2500 if i remember correctly..
-
The CVT transmission is not a good idea for cars, who wants to drive down the highway with the engine reving at 6000 rpm! This type of transmission is only good for snowmobiles because it gets the most torque and speed out of small engines. The key to fuel economy is speed with LOW!! rpms

@dm919 2.4 right? Those 2.4s are very peepy and powerfull, better than any 4 banger Dodge has ever made!
-
@dm919 we raced again at the following light and i won btw... Im just telling u how the race went. not how the race should've went..
-
@occckid123 Nobody gives a crap about some car with 100 hp and a rubberband transmission. A race isn't one car behind another btw-he probably didn't feel like wasting gas on a wannabe rental car.
-
@dm919 he started behind me when it was a single lane but the lane then turns into 2 lanes and her punched it at the same time i did trying 2 go around me and initially he was closing until he hit 2nd gear and couldnt pass me... btw i have expeience with racing cvt sentras from 25-90 mph and the sentra wins if the altima is in 2nd gear at 25-30 mph. 5 passengers in both cars a/c on..
-
@occckid123 So you "beat an Accord from 20-60 mph, but he quit racing @ 28 mph? Just admit defeat and move on...No stock Versa will beat any stock '08+ Accord that is actually racing. Enough with the excuses.
-
@dm919 oh and btw i just watched a video of an accord doing 20-60 in 6.5 seconds with 1 passenger. it took my car 7 seconds from 20-60. Keep in mind he might have had the 170 hp version but even if he didnt he still had an extra passenger and the ac on... u do the math
-
@dm919 a base model accord does 0-60 in 8.7 seconds. a versa with cvt does it in 9.1 seconds. he had a passenger and the AC was on so its not far fetched 2 beat an accord especially if he was in the 25-30 mph range in 2nd gear where is rpm is probably around 3k rpm while mine is at 5500 rpm at 30 mph. Yes he was racing. we raced after that also...
-
@occckid123 Doesn't really sound like the other car was racing to me---the Versa CVT is a 9+ second 0-60 car so yeah, the Accord wasn't racing...
I had a guy in a Caliber SXT try to race me in my Accord yesterday...why even bother? Beat him by 4-5 bus lengths...
What are those a-pillar gauges all about?

hey dm,
what engine do you have?!
this is a voltmeter and a aeroforce interceptor scan gauge (dual) reading directly from the obd2
