Man... When I first got this game years ago, I was stuck at that jump for months.
I didn't have any kind of manual or a guide or anything for this game, and it wasn't until a few months later while trying to get up that damn wall, I discovered that I accidentally seemed to do a triangle double jump higher off the edge.
Then I spent, literally 6 hours trying to figure out again how I did that jump, before to clear that wall.
Minutes later I was killed by a spidermech.
Ah.... good times.

I love this game, but when he runs up the pyramid is the only time his running pose doesn't look awkward haha.

I remember renting this game back in the 80's and I returned it very fast.

Hmm, now that I'm looking at it - I should probably come back and beat this motherfucker, because when I played it I was about eight or nine years old and found it too difficult for some reason.

I never could do this wall jump. Scratch this, I never knew you suppose to wall jump here.

I couldn't stand this game after playing the arcade version. This reminded me of Metal Gear.
Ever notice how the 2nd-in-command types are often the main villain -- or if the #1 guy is the main villain, the #2 guy turns against them? Cases in point: Darth Vader, Number Two (from Austin Powers), and Matic.

@IggyHazard I can't believe you forgot Kefka.
The "evil adviser" is a pretty established trope (I wonder of TV Tropes has a page...) and used quite a bit. Part of the "reasoning" is that the person at the top has nowhere to go, but the guy below him has a motive and ambition.
Also, an extreme tangent, but as far as Vader goes, "betraying the master" is a Sith core principle. Just usually not in the way he did it.

Bionic Commando, Strider, and Low-G Man were really innovative for their era. Something I never liked about some of these games, though, is how your character's jump is too high and not far enough. This is also true for Faxanadu (another one of my faves regardless of the lame jumping). Flashback (Genesis, Sega CD, Amiga) was the opposite since it used rotoscoped animation. Jumping was realistic. I always had trouble with Strider's triangular jump when I was a kid.

@IggyHazard Low G Man is proof that "innovative" doesn't always mean "good".
Flashback is on my list of games to walkthrough. Somewhere near the middle.

This game and Low G Man used to piss me off...but not as much as Ikari warriors II

@TheGreenPlague Cripes, Low G Man...Every so often, I get the idea to play through the game, then when I do, I'm suddenly reminded why it's not worth playing through.
