I don't hate ABBA. I think they were the best at the kind of music they created.... however, they weren't "Rock n' Roll".
My big issue is that it should be called the "Music Hall of Fame" because it clearly isn't just Rock N' Roll acts.
This would be like inducting Judas Priest into the "Country Music Hall of Fame".

@HeidiPusskins The so called experts choices are sometimes very suspect to people who listen, enjoy and perform ROCK music. If only those vaunted experts would call it what it really is, the Pop Entertainment Hall of Fame!

Great that ABBA got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and would be cool to see them perform together again, with new tunes. Beyond that, I am still waiting for The Moody Blues to get inducted as well.

@Beatnikzombie YOU don't make the rules of what Rock is or isn't. The experts do. So you can keep getting embarrassed about being human. ABBA's music encompassed many many different styles, (including Rock) as roxannehilton2 stated, so put that in your pipe and smoke it. Perhaps try to open your ears and eyes a little more instead of making generalisations about 'people' being 'idiots'

Listen to the ABBA songs like "Watch Out" "So Long" "King Kong Song" "On & on & on" "Hey hey Helen" "Rock Me" and "Hole in your Soul." Many people label them as a disco group because of "Dancing Queen." Also, because that was their only number 1 hit in the U.S that stayed for about 10 weeks. It was during the time when studio 54 was coming out, and all that other stuff. Those songs one of the few reasons why ABBA should be in. :)
