Molson was a classic image campaign that released during the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver. The campaign was initially pinned as a series of stock images showing off the glory of the Canadian landscape, but Bruce Dowad with KILT was able to develop a different approach for the project.
Bruce enamored with the freedom the Canon 7D can provide, approached the agency with shooting more original footage for the same financial resources. Though interesting, the agency wanted some assurance that the footage would hold to the professional image quality we have become accustomed to. During the bidding stages of the campaign, KILT performed a series of tests with the 7D. Using the NITRATE process on the footage, KILT was able to calm the agency anxiety and Bruce was able to move forward with the project.
Andy Mac and Bruce color graded 70 shots in the matter of a day for the campaign.
