  • Microsoft should sue Google/youtube for antitrust tying for forcing activation of Google account to use yourtube. scumbags. you will pay through the nose when you get sued by your stockholders.

  • @Tbone180000 You can use the K-Lite codec. This will make sure every video player/editor can open any existing video filetype. Also Windows Media Player. VLC is by default reading all these filetypes, that is very good. But quality... VLC just fails!

The EU doesn't attack Apple beceause the EU always want to destroy the biggest one. Then they are surprised that there are economical problems LOL

  • @murdoch201

    You have a point,

I personally dont use windows media player

Its there but I use VLC it just fills up space

I guess the EU needs to attack Apple too

    because choice is good

  • @Tbone180000 What about Mac? They pre-installed Safari too. And Linux? The preinstalled Reckonq. When you start Windows on your Mac EVERYTIME Safari has overwritten your webbrowser. That is what we call Adware! Also, are the manuals for your iPod also adware? And what about the USB-cable? There are more company's who also create those USB-cables! Bad Apple! Bad Adware!

  • And what about Safari? Everytime you start your Windows on your Mac Safari has overwritten your browser. This is something which Microsoft doesn't, but they get a warning. Bad bad EU... Bad!

  • The European commission basically had Microsoft by the balls on this one! its easy to seek out and install other browsers if you want them, this is utter nonsense! I am happy with Internet explorer and I will be deleting this programme if it comes! they are treating PC users like idiots! we all know about the alternatives, its not like Microsoft is blocking them out!

  • You'd expect an OS, and not other products bundled with it in order to take advantage of their position in the platform OS market to position themselves in other markets. Yes people in theory have a choice, but when microsoft runs around cloning other peoples software and bundling it with windows - many people will not research other alternatives, and as a result, innovation and competition staggers. microsoft's not known for it's innovations at all, even if it's one of the largest it companies.

  • how are they forcing their products on you, there's nothing to stop you installing 3rd party software

and by offering their own product, they also offer inhouse support for integration with the OS

  • @burnzy3210

Microsoft are trying to force their products on you

    We only bought the OS

Web browsers are a totally different product

Its like Adware you cant get rid off

  • If you buy a computer with a Microsoft OS then you'd expect to see Microsoft products installed, its not like you're locked down and cant install another browser. If they truly believe in this then it should apply to all OS distributors
