In my opinion, people always think The best player is the one that u've seen dominate the league growing up. Us, 80's babies think MJ is the best, 90's think Kobe or lebron and it's normal that people growing up with jerry west think He was the best i men there's nothing to argue about

I'm a 70's babyborn and 80's raised, but i think the best player was a Laker. the only thing is that I think, despite West and Magic being may guys, the best player was Wilt Chamberlain. The man averaged 50 for a season and had 100 in a game. He would have had more rings if he had consistent coaching and better support. still, others from that era might say Elgin Baylor was a better player than MJ. And who can forget Oscar Robertson.
