  • I'm sure Bush lied about something. Everybody does to some degree. As much as I hate Bush, I don't think he lied about whether he belived WMD were in Iraq. I'm positive he thought he would find more than they did.

But getting back to the Burris argument, it becomes sad when Bush is set as a benchmark --- "He's better than Bush." -- what a lame benchmark. Let's use a better president for a yard stick. And of course, there is absolutely no doubt Burris lied. Shame a POS like him cast vote 60

  • First, I'm not a Republican. If the party changed some of its social positions, I would consider joining, but I won't hold my breath.

But you really should read the entire history of the Iraq WMD program (France=Nuclear help, Germany=Chem help, USA facilitated). Pre and Post 1991 Gulf War Nuclear Weapons programs were proven to exist. Read Hans Blix's actual reports from 2002-3. There was far from a full accounting of what was left when the inspectors were originally kicked out.

  • hell yeah he should resign

  • I'm going to post this because I'm a republican and I believe its time for the republicans to stop clinging to Iraq war was justified theme. Yellow cake uranium is not weapons grade uranium. It is used for peaceful purposed such as nuclear reactors. Iraq didn't have the technology to enrich yellow cake and Iraq was no where close to achieving this technology. Also, Heres the kicker, It was known by the UN and IAEA and being stored legally by the Iraqi government.

  • I'm just trying to point out what one of the Bush lied arguments is. Nobody will know what the truth is until many years in the future when the records become public. I choose to believe the President isn't a complete idiot and knows how to manipulate his staff to accomplish his goals. You choose to believe his staff manipulated him. Either way, neither of us will know until an investigation occurs or the records become public. Bush's intense secrecy is one reason I'm leaning toward Bush lied.

  • The only thing hidden well was the media coverage of 500 tons of yellow cake uranium being removed from Iraq just last year.

But don't mistake me for a Bush lover. I said on 9/11/01 - Let's spend all the money we would have (did) on war on developing nuclear (the real hope), solar, wind, etc so we can just leave the Middle East. But I do realize any President that would have said that in 2001 would have been impeached. Short memories..

  • But the glove did fit, now Burris says oh sh ...

  • actually the president gets intel from advisors and military leaders. then he makes a decision based on info. it was simply bad information or the weapons were hidden very very well

  • 500 tons of yellow cake uraniam removed from Iraq just last year. Google it.

You don't find it convenient that the Dems let Burris in to get the 60 votes needed for the Stimulus bill, and now that they got what they wanted out of him the truth comes out? All random events, I'm sure.

  • Four words sum up the Bush Lied argument....

    Weapons of Mass Destruction.

And believe me, "Libs" will kick Burris out like they did to blago.
