Haha astig ng bassline ng Fruitcake! Daming guitar covers neto hehe para sa mga bahista naman!
Fruitcake by Eraserheads
Original bassline by: Mr. Buddy Zabala

Ye got 3 approaches to playing this song:

1.) - If your bass is a 4-stringed one, you will have to DROP by half-step to be able to play along with the original song. If you have a 5-stringed bass, you can choose to drop the tuning if you want, but just take note that you will NOT be utilizing the B-string if you do so. (since the E string will be dropped low enough to take care of the lowest note).

2.) - If you do use a 5-string bass and don't feel like dropping down, you'll be perfectly fine. You can just stay in standard tuning, as fully demonstrated by toktikpogi's bass cover, and still be able to nail it with no problem. You will, however, have to utilize the B-string for this choice since the E-string won't be low enough. You HAVE to play along with the original song, though. As far as finger placement fret-wise goes, ignore what you see on my video, atrasin nyo lang ng 1fret :P

3.) - Stay in standard tuning (this if mainly for 4-stringers), but remember to RAISE the song's pitch/key MISMO by half-step thru a gadget, software, or whatever you have and voila! Have a 5-string instead? Doesn't matter; you really won't be needing the B-string for this choice, either. I didn't.

Just remember, for this video, I opted for choice 3. Instead of manipulating the bass's tuning, I chose to manipulate the song's pitch/key itself. Kumbaga sa Jollibee, imbes nag dine-in ako, nag pa delivery lang ako. hehe labo -_- but you get the idea. I hope... hehe

I would still be utilizing the SAME finger placements, SAME frets had I chosen to do the first choice, regardless of whether I was using a 4-string or 5-string. Just trust me on this.

*Just remember that the majority of Eheads' songs are actually dropped by half a step. The only two that I know of that are in standard tuning are the songs Ligaya and Tindahan ni Aling Nena.*

Annnnddddd of course, as always, this cover is NOT 100% accurate pero oks lang naman sya and I do hope it helps. Rock on peeps!
