iPhone 4 Video Stabilization with iMovie

Just a quick video to see how well stabilization in iMovie does.

The iPhone 4, lacking any form of image stabilization, picks up every shake in the camera. I'm not overly impressed with the stabilization process in iMovie though.

just the same as the other top end phones nothing special .. the nokia 5230 and others can record as good as this phone for stabilization.

Was this iMovie for iphone or imovie 2009 for Mac?

And ... thats it .. its a phone at the end of the day it will never beat a Camcorder for Video Stabilization. Thanks for posting though, sorry if i seem rude but just adding my opinion.

@IamDickee Was nothing to "figure out". They need a sensor that a bit better quality AND hardware based stabilization. That would be ideal. The tech exists but I'm sure it would have made the phone over $1000. iPhone 5 might be what we're w8ing 4.

Video quality IS degraded.... and I can barely notice the shake difference. I tried myself on several HD vids using iPhone 4 and preferred the original version. Shame Apple couldn't figure it out for this model.

I am not sure if it helped the stability that much, just slightly better. I get the same thing with mine as well.
