Last minute thrash to get the SOHC powered 64 Galaxie ready for Hot Rod Magazines Drag Week 2008, then some action on the track and in the pits. Jays Galaxie did not finish in '08, but came back in 09 much more prepared and won it's class with a best ET of 9.48 and completed the week long, 1200 mile drive without a problem.

  • I know this is a really stupid question, but I am taking my family in our 64 galaxie on route 66, and was wondering where you got the trailer hitch. I am planning on towing a teardrop trailer. I like the way your receiver comes on where the license plate is at. Did you custom make it or did you purchase it?? Oh by the way looks great and sounds even better. Keep up the great work

  • @67lordlucas I think Jay fabricated the hitch from scratch. There are lots of custom trailer hitch shops that can build one for you. Crystal welding in Osseo Minnesota does a good job, they built one for my 67 Olds 442. Good luck with your Galaxie!

  • Are you Canadian?

  • Nope, I'm from Minnesota, USA

  • Guys, I just saw this (thanks to my persistent brother) and one big tip o the hat to u guys. This is what hot rodding is all about and you guys handled it like champs.

  • One of the things I really like about the videos on this Galaxie is the video work (besides the fact that they tell a good story) is that, unlike a lot of other car videos, the camera isn't bounding around all over the place, giving the viewer a nasty headache.

Thanks for the good video work!

  • omg you have ford gt...back..you have mony..

  • Jay Brown is my hero. What is his profession?

  • That is one beautiful automoible, I have a 63 boxtop and a 64 Costum, make my want to pull the cover off and keep wrenchin on the 64 to get both on the road.

  • When it left the trailer...around 4:25, that is one of the best sounds I've heard from an engine, and that's at idle...lol

  • "Sounds doable".. Great vids

  • Impressive Galaxie!!!... Love those Cammers!!... Talk about BIG money motors, rare too!!!!!
