@TOMBANCROFT Thanks for the trouble of a reply... yes I was in the UK, but maybe I'm remembering it wrong, ...the old memory's a bit fuzzy now, but it's got me wondering if the old 78's are still in mum's attic... I recall Harry Belafonte's "Mary's Boy Child", and an old recording of "Honky Tonk Train Blues" and a Mario Lanza song... I'll go look next time I'm there. Love the song anyway, have from the moment I first heard it... all the best. Paul ...

@BirdmanPG - Hi Birdman. "Answer Me" was recorded in 1953 and the B-side was "Why". This was the US single, sometimes the song pairings were different for the singles released in the UK. I can't find any single release of "Dinner For One Please James" in the US. It first seems to appear on the album "For Two In Love" in 1953.

@TOMBANCROFT I think I had this on a 78 rpm with "Answer me" on the other side.. hope I'm remembering that right it was such long time ago... I remember playing it even after it chipped but I could only listen to the last two thirds of the song but it was worth it... :-)

Sincere apologies MVP for not ackowledging sooner - not been YouTubing for a while - didn't realise that you had loaded "Dinner For One" and "Here's To My Lady". Fantastic to hear them again minus the scratches!!. Your collection gets better and better. Thanks a million.

Done some research on 'Here's To My Lady'. In the US it was Capitol single No. 1893 with 'Miss Me' on the A-side. Until 1956 the majority of Nat's singles released here in Britain had different track pairings for some reason. For example 'I Envy' was the B-side of 'Make Her Mine' in the US, but here in Britain it was the B-side of 'If I May'. From 1956 they were all the same for US & UK.

@TOMBANCROFT Thanks for the info. I added "Miss Me" to the list of songs to look for also.
