What???? No...if you are really best friends, its okay to try talking to them, and if your nervous then end it with "im sorry, that sounded pretty awkward didnt it?" and wait for a response. If he says he likes you too, then hey, things can go from there. I learned this first hand. Do not run up and randomly kiss someone, cause then that would just scare them.
