We are fortunate enough to see both a black swan pair and a mute swan pair.

The black swans have two cygnets. The clip starts with the adults swimming towards the bank and, after a distant shot of the mutes, you see yours truly feeding bread to them out of the hand. This species seemingly has less fear of humans than their larger cousins which never came that close to dry land at all.

Later, on my way back from filming the coot and geese, the cygnets came on to dry land.

I also got some much better footage of one of the mutes out in midstream in typical "I will not be rushed" mode..

Finally something of the adult blacks again, this time on terra firma - and still taking an interest in my bread.
