Tiger Woods drops long-time caddy Steve Williams

Tiger Woods announced on his website he has dropped his caddy of 12 years Steve Williams. Williams was at Woods' side through the good times, and also through the bad.

He even stuck with Tiger as his sponsors, then his family, and finally his game deserted him. Injuries and just nine holes of competitive golf in three months have seen Tiger slip to 20 in the world rankings. Now he has fired Williams.

But will a new caddy be enough to help the Tiger tame his demons?

Before Tiger was caught up in the scandal with his 121 mistresses, he was injured and out for most of a season. Even if he'd stayed home alone with his beautiful wife and played video games for the last couple years, he'd be a has-been by now. Don't blame the caddy.

i can't believe this is news. i mean, what is the importance of a caddie, the guy who hauls the golf clubs????? Aren't the caddies paid $8/hr ???

Tiger Woods had a white caddie. He fired him and got another white caddie. Now...is that because Woods is a racist and refuses to give black caddies an opportunity...or are there aren't any qualified black caddies?

Just like Pro Football...the lack of black head coaches was "racism." Well...now that there are numerous black head coaches making hiring decisions...where are all the black offensive coordinators? Yep...the black man is holding the black man down!

I can see a Tiger Woods documentary that would play out similarly to that of "There Will Be Blood". Distancing, destruction, loss of life, no deafness though.
