Canadian Forces To Deploy Military Trainers To ,canadian arm

Sierra Leone is ranked last of 174 countries on human development by the UN Development Program. This initiative is part of the UK Government's program of assistance to help the Government of Sierra Leone restore peace and stability after eight years of brutal civil war. This is a one-year commitment for Canada starting as of September 1st, 2000. CF members will serve for periods of six months in such positions as chief instructors for infantry battalions and as members of the Sierra Leone Army's (SLA) Recruit Screening Center.
