  • I agree with you totally on this. The term bisexual is great, but comes with inherant baggage: it forces a dicotamy in gender.

Gender, to me, is much more complex and diverse than society likes to admit. Its not a two-box system that people think.

I tend to refer to myself as bisexual, as this at least, is a label that most people I meet can grasp without lengthy explanation, though perhaps 'pansexual' woul be more accurate, as my attractions tend to be independent of gender.

    Thanks

  • Yeah, it definatly does come with baggage. It does make things easier though, I just say bisexual if i'm not going to explain the whole androgyny thing.

But on the flipside, if everyone just gave the simplest education then people would never learn about anything.

But anyway, yeah. Gender is definatly more than one or the other, seems like the world is starting to see it though, theres alot more transgender stuff popping up than there used to be, and certainly alot more acceptance of sexuality

  • Interesting video. I dunno what the hell I am. Officially, I'm a girl and I'm a lesbian. I feel androgynous though and I'm sort of bisexual. I don't usually have sexual feelings for men, but there are a few transgender people who I've liked and I have other feelings that might fit into the 'sexuality' doo daa. My problem is that I just look and dress pretty much like a girl, so I feel like other people won't really 'allow' me to identify as androgynous. I am, though lol.

  • I've been felling similar latley, dressing mostly in "guy" clothes, with a little goatee, so i'm just being passed off as a guy. But i've taken to explaining to people about androgny now when i can.

Usually people just assume i'm a gay guy *shrugs*, if only i were that simple, heh.

  • I understand how you feel about male and female just being one person - although I identify as being female to male trans, I have been criticised by other ftms because I wear make-up and am more open-minded. I guess I am bisexual because I'm attracted to girls, but also to guys that dress as them! Brave post - Ant x

  • Heeey, i go by "Ant" too :) awesome.

Yeah, tbh i'm a little careful arounf TS's myself, some can be a little "no operation, not a real transgender". Most are nice people though, but a couple seem a little too strong on pushing opinions.

But anyways, surley going ftm AND wearing makup could be a sign of just how secure you are about your gender, its a positive not a negative!

But anyways, thats just my thoughts

  • If you ONLY expect a girl when looking into the mirror, then your not androgynous, but rather have transgenic treats. I am androgynous as well, but I see both, and want to be both, and feel both at the same time OR neither at the same time. And that shifts everyday and sometimes shifts on the hour. :-) Confusiing? hell yeah. But it has nothing to do with the sexual aspect, because I am heterosexual. It's about gender and sexuality can be anything. So yeah drop the boxes and be who you wanna be.

or male characteristics. There are human characteristics. Period. And there are a wide spectra of characteristics to choose from. Just that some selected a bunch to be typically girly and some to be manly. I see us all as humans. Different humans. Tho we do have a biological sex, but its just very basic. Doesnt say anythong about how we are supposed to behave, look or who we are attracted to.

Im a girl, with bi-leanings. And I consider myself androgynous.

  • The first thing I thought when I saw you in the video was "its a girl with a beard, when is she going to reveal shes a transgender and wanted to be a guy and grew a beard?" Cause I really think you look like a girl and you have girly "characteristics" and mannerisms. Strange huh?

I believe tho that these thoughts stem from prejudice about how females are supposed to behave and I'm am fully aware that its only prejudice. Cause I believe we are all human and there are no such thing as female or

  • you're an androgynous bisexual... whats so strange about that? not a big deal but i wish you spoke up a little more... take good care and peaCe2U...

  • speak up............!!!!!!!!!!

  • I just want to say off the bat that you have the most beautiful dazzling smile. :)

I'm kind of in the same boat as others replying to this video.

I'm proud to have "female" body characteristics but mentally and emotionally I feel like both sexes. Male, female.. i think i'm a mix of both. Lol..

It doesn't matter what sex you might be Tony or how you see yourself, whoever ends up capturing your heart is a lucky person. Very very.

  • It's interesting how we humans see all these sexualities.I'm a 99,9 % straight guy but who also likes some very feminine (mostly asian) biological guys who looks and reminds me of very feminine girls. In fact, there are indeed many ladyboys in Thailand who're much more feminine than the girls here in Sweden. However i can honestly say i very much respect those guys. Take a look at these wonderful ladyboys/newhalfs -> Nong Poy,Harisu,Tsubaki Ayana & Nong Film. 2 words. Amazingly Amazing ! =^_^=

  • You're very soft spoken, have lovely eyes and have a lovely character. Do what makes you happy in life Cactus. Love and life know no gender. It's only society that places great emphasis on gender limitations/ restrictions and stereotypes. Keep being you. =)
