Here is a view from the Cargo Compartment where I was standing. On April 14,2010 A crew from Edwards AFB set the record for the single Heaviest item ever airdropped from a C-17 at Yuma Proving Grounds in Arizona in support of NASA. We Airdropped the Ares mock booster rocket at a weight of 77040 lbs

  • It was at 25k, 15ft drogue chute, the extraction chutes were triple 28's and the aircraft pitched up about 11 degrees

    What was the diameter of the drogue chute?

    What was the diameter of the extraction chutes on the cargo?

    Did you feel the aircraft pitch after the cargo exited?
