Contact the Elderly organises Sunday afternoon tea parties for people over 75 who live alone, and have little or no contact to family and friends. The tea parties bring togetehr volunteer drivers, older members and the volunteer host families for afternoons full of fun and laughter.

I live in the states myself and would love to start something similar. I'm a terminal cancer patient and not able to be a part of the get together. I have use of the phone and internet and I am willing and able to work on the organization aspect to get something similar going here. Can you share how you got yours going that might help me get one up? I can see how much of a difference this make's to a person, even just one day a week. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
