Been surfing since early 70s, East coast can get size, but don;t think the swell speed is the same as the west and def not pacific islands. Still the Atlantic is my first love.

Yeah it can get big, but rarely do the swells match the speed of other places like Hawaii, or even the west coast. It is what it is, been surfing for 40 years now.

nick is right. east coast sucks. i love it though. anywhere else in the world is probably better....but i wouldn't pass up a good day in Jersey for anywhere else.
