I have a Crimson Rosella and I am curious about the diet you have yours on? Also, when you say Eastern....is that Eastern Australia?

i cannot say for certain but i think its about 12 months, there is very little difference between the male and female surprisingly the male is brighter, but ive found the males usually have a longer tail and the head looks more square across the top.

Hello,
have you ever thought of a conspecific partner for your hen?
Eastern Rosella hens have white stripes on the belly of the wings. (Can you find out with Google too.)

Hello,
all parakeets live in a swarm in the nature and a single approach isn't for the purpose of love of animals.
To your basic problem: No egg of the world will ever hatch, if it is unfertilised! Of course you need a hen and a cock, which assort togheter.

I don't think its rare, my Rosella has also laid several eggs during a few years. She has no mate.....

Can you tell me at what age it is possible to see by the colors if it's male or female?
I have an Eastern she I think it is, She was bought at 3½ months in birdshop. She is a great pet. She needs to fly everyday and needs a lot of attention. She is very smart and likes challenging games. Throws wooden blocks, beads and will try to turn handle on music box. She loves to bathe with my hand drumming the water, using my palm to get wet on her back. She has NEVER bit me. Still green on top of head
Hi, thanks for viewing my video. yes true hens are normally plain looking with exception to the Eclectus parrots. My Hen Rosella was a little duller in colour, when you see them together the Cock is more vivid colour.

I thought hen birds of any species were plain looking. This bird looks exactly the same as Beany, my cock Rosella who is on my site, have a look, silverstartrucker

Hi, Thanks for viewing my video. This hen Rosella is actually duller than the cock and also is duller around the eyes than the cock. If you look at my other video (My Birds - Eastern Rosella - Cock) you will see he is a more vivid colour and you will breifly see the hen in the background. Thanks again I will check your video.
