Psychedelic Shamanic Vision/Prayer 2012: Part 1 of 4

The video is divided into Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4. Part 1 discusses the crisis and transformation nexus on the planet at this time and the rapid changes occurring in every sphere. Stephen and many other seers and seekers are saying that we need to wake up fast if we have any hope of getting the planet onto a sane and sustainable path. From a Buddhist and indigenous perspective, we don't know who we are and our blindness has led to this crisis.
Part 2 begins to examine three intertwined paths or methods of healing and awakening: mindfulness/awareness meditation; prayer/intention, particularly as understood in the indigenous cosmos; and entheogenic, or psychedelic visionary, teaching, healing plants. Simple nowness meditation, similar to that taught by Eckhart Tolle, provides the basic ground for seeing clearly through obstacles to the awakened heart space. Native American spiritual wisdom understands that prayer is intention and in the right circumstances is fully capable of influencing the material world, especially when combined with medicines like peyote, ayahuasca, iboga and others. Even MDMA, or Ecstasy, has great healing potential when used with skill and right intention.
These entheogenic plants provide the most immediate, direct connection to wisdom and insight when used carefully in ceremonial and therapeutic environments. They are definitely not for everyone and set and setting are all important. However, they have been badly misunderstood and maligned and have immense benefits to offer.
Part 2 ends with a discussion of ayahuasca. Part 3 begins with peyote and the Native American Church and continues with the remarkable healing root iboga and its synthesized alkaloid ibogaine. Part 3 also includes discussion of psilocybin mushrooms, known to some as magic mushrooms, a fungus without a strong contemporary lineage of wise practice but another medicine with much to offer. Part 4 contains the summary and conclusion, with emphasis again on the urgent nature of the times and on the beautiful vision of enlightened societies in an awakened heart world that really is accessible to us.
