Why didnt he ever heal someone with one leg ? Sounds a bit fishy " Oh , my headache has gone " is not compelling evidence for supernatural abilities. Healing an amputee would be a neat trick , but that was somehow beyond him ?

@ilikezappa Jesus was the GOD-MAN, that means God became a Man, part of this was that He experienced the world just as we do. Jesus didn't heal people because He was God, He did it by Faith in God, just like we are to. Hebrews tells us that He was tempted, but God can not be tempted. The Temptation of Jesus, was His HUMANITY being tempted just like you and I are tempeted daily.

@ilikezappa The problem is you are not looking at ALL the accounts in Scripture to see what is meant here. Luke 4:5 reads "And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, showed to him all the kingdoms of the world IN A MOMENT OF TIME." Those last 5 words tell us that Jesus is not just gazing over the earth looking at Kingdoms, satan showed him the British Empire, the USA, ALL of them, it was a VISION, and had NOTHING to do with Line of Sight. @ilikezappa you're taking the supernatural out of God, remember all thing are possible through God. it doesn't mean that the earth is flat. remember all the other things that would not be possible if the laws of nature applied, like in 2 Kings 1:10 when Elijah called fire down from the sky to consume the captain of the king's army and all of his troops. Elijah, like satan, was not God, but God allowed him limited supernatural ability for a purpose.

@ilikezappa if you're going to effectively criticize something, you should know something about it first, just a general rule of thumb for you. i know that science tests until they get what they think is the right solution...the only problem with that is that they ALWAYS think they have the right answer, until they find out they're wrong. we have a verse in scripture that relates well to this " let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord."-Lamentations 3:40

@ilikezappa nowhere in the Bible does it say that the earth is flat, you should try reading one before you criticize it. it's people(the same idiots you call scientists) who misinterpret Biblical claims who give you your so-called knowledge of the Bible. i'm not saying science is useless, it has many uses, and i'm glad it's around. you're right, religion cannot withstand testing, i'm not a religious person. i have faith . faith can undergo testing because it makes no false claims, unlike man.

@Guitarist4Jesus1 You are talking about the objective methodology that has taken your freezing butt out of a cave and put it in front of a computer , given you health ( hopefully) wealth and a comfortable modern existence. The reason we know Aristotle was wrong is because we tested the evidence . Something religion cannot withstand , which is why you insist that a 2000 year old book ( which also claims the world is flat ) is acceptable.
