i find that doing anything more than 3 hits on a single bass pedal is really difficult at fast tempos and sounds a bit weak. but for quick doubles nobody needs 2 bass drums! teddy has just shown this!

Double bass pedals are for drummers who are just not very fast. That is why I have to use a dbl pedal. Look at JoJo Mayer - single pedal sounds like a double.

Teddy uses a single pedal...using a double isn't lazy and it's understable is some do use one. If you want to get faster with a single practice the heel toe technique. The bottomline is not whether you use a single or double pedal..it's how it sounds on the track or live
