Watch at 1.18 his confidence in guiding the ball in between three fielders.... simply amazing.......

Damn I wish I was alive in the '70s and the '80s...DX Quite marvellous!

Gawaskar was a much better batsman than Sachin Tendulkar. Because Sunny never wore a Helmet. He always kept his brilliant eyes on the ball hence was able to keep even the fastest balls away from his head. If Gawaskar could played today,s rush of cricket, he would made tons of scores than other players scoring now. He is great son of India.

What a little cry baby. He got a bad decision, big deal.

Just a correction. It wasn't the English, it was the Australians and Lillee abused him.

To all those who think that Gavaskar was unsporting ... He was given out incorrectly .. on top of that the English abused him ...Gavaskar walked off not happy .. but he only called off the non-striker on being abused .. not just because he was given out ...

I am an Indian cricket lover...Great player Gavaskar was... But your Chappell brothers, Doug Walters and Allan Border were excellent as well.
Indeed, back to the 1970s..Oh wait, I wasn't even born then :)
