Me and three of my friends summited Mt. Whitney before the quota season started on May 1st. We started at Lone Pine at 3am and made it to the top by 2pm then back to the Whitney Porthole trailhead where the truck was parked at 7pm. A 22 mile round trip in 16 hours through the snow practically the whole way. The most difficult part for me was the lack of oxygen and the fact that we did not give ourselves time to acclimate. Definately could not have done it without taking Acetazolamide before our summit. To this day the hardest thing I have ever done, and want to do more.
Wow not much wind amazaing!
