A couple years ago I was outside with my brother and a friend smokin, and there were two planes laying out the grid pattern like you saw. That was the only time I have seem them do it.

i am so pleased with the spike in ratings and subscriptions since the alex jones show! just a little publicity goes a long way. we were talking about this stuff way before we had even heard of alex jones, and i am very please we are all on the same wavelength.
