Is there any real purpose in owning one of these? rather than using a computer to cv converter?
-
I'd imagine this thing is easier to program than an MC-8, especially with its full alphanumeric display.

It's terrific to watch these old hardware sequencers in action. There were notoriously difficult to program.

As the OP8 lets you control polysynths via the DCB, can you sequence polyphonic parts with the MC-4?

how much are these?

You can program up to 8 note chords using the 4 channels with 2 x cv out per channel

They sell from up to $1700 or so for a complete set of 3 pieces, cheaper if they are beat up (like mine) and you get a good deal. Keep an eye out and you'll find one.
