Russ show's us he's a C6th Chicken-Pickin Steel Driving Man ! There is no guitar in the band, what you hear is all steel.
Song by Bill Monroe
I said blue moon of Kentucky, keep on a-shinin,
Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue,
Blue moon of Kentucky, keep on a-shinin,
Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue.
It was on one moonlit night, stars shinin bright,
Whispered on high, "Your love said goodbye!"
I said blue moon of Kentucky, keep on a-shinin,
Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue.
Blue moon of Kentucky, keep on a-shinin,
Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue,
Blue moon of Kentucky, keep on a-shinin,
Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue.
Well, it was on one moonlit night, stars shinin bright,
Whispered on high, "Your lover said goodbye!"
I said blue moon of Kentucky, keep on a-shinin,
Shine on the one that's gone and left me blue,
Left me blue...
Left me blue...
Left me blue!
Listen to Russ's comping. I thought it was a six-string. Badass!

Russ Weaver can do it all and do it well. Nice touch and tone. (from a new fan)

Thanks for the kind words, I hope to get more Russ next month when he is back in town. I now have a better camera so hopefully it won't be as dark.
