i do agree the Chinese govt still needs to improve it's domestic affairs. Animal rights, human rights etc. But bear in mind all these cannot be changed instantly. It takes time. While the attention now is on the Games, what's their direction next after 2008 Olympics? I hope they can tackle these matters (animal rights etc) more seriously, now that all eyes (of the world) are on them.
