Secrets - Sophie Lawrence PWL

Sophie's second single (the first being Love's Unkind) was to be a cover of Kylie Minogues Secrets, but due to poor chart performance, it was withdrawn. Pity, I kind of like this cover better than Kylies version, and I am a HUGE Kylie fan. Probably due to the key change in this version. Another SAW/PWL classic.

I'm sure she played Diane Butcher (Ricky's sister) in Eastenders on the BBC. Funny thing is that I couldnt stand her character (or her acting) in the soap. I wonder whether Eastenders or Neighbours holds the title of most actors to release a single???

I actually prefer the original to this cover. I actually thought of a video concept where Kylie discovers the man getting her phone number when he calls her, and she goes to his house to see him. She tells her boyfriend about her re-emerging feelings for the man, and he promptly leaves her. She turns to the man for support, but unable to get over her boyfriend, she promptly leaves his house. She returns to the boyfriend's apartment with her things, and they both hug in tears.

OK, so she's not the world's greatest singer, but dayum, what a hot chick...

You can barely hear her behind the backing singers trying desperately to hide her awful voice. This was the start of the end for SAW, when producing soap stars became a priority over producing talent. (Kylie being the exception) She has the charisma and sex appeal of a Farley's rusk.

I think this is a nice cover version of Kylie's ''Secrets''. (Though Kylie's is much better). I wonder why this was withdrawn; the previous single was a hit.

Its the Eastenders lesbian! I'd forgotten she was a singer and that I saw her play Janet in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW at the Mayflower in Southampton ..... I think
