It is an error to underestimate Busg's intelligence, agree with him or not. He succeeded in being elected twice, despite vehement opposition not only in the permanent Washington establishment, but even members of his own party. Also, he was demonstrably effective in getting his policies eecuted, no matter what you think of the results. I concede the current resident of the Oval office is far more articulate than his predecessor, but he is not as good an administrator as his predecessor.

For some one who claims Liberalism is a mental disorder, he projects the same stereotype as Liberals of a people whose ancestors founght for and founded the country Savage claims he is prooud to defend. I believe Savage has engaged himself in a contradiction here.

I'm a redneck too, but I have to take it in stride that sometimes I am lumped in with white trash idiots. I'm not as easily offended by being stereotyped as other groups would be. Besides, I think he was taking a swipe at the idiot hookers that sing the song, rather than at white trash.

Mescal- Yep, there's no problem with ethnic jokes. The people who get extremely upset are insecure because they believe, in their hearts that they are as dumb as the jokes describe them. Rednecks know they're good folks so they aren't bothered by jokes.

That is a lefty stereotype. Savage's biggest ratings share is in market # 4 San Francisco. He's huge in market #1 New York with an 8 share. Most of the toothless rednecks around my area vote Democrat and are too stupid to understand the concept of sarcasm making them unable to listen to Savage. They never heard of him.
