This is what we call "Having an episode" He's having a good time! Our mastiff does this all the time too.. soo funny to watch her play like this. Obviously, in this case, there is a phantom monster in both couches that MUST be destroyed!
My sister's dog did this when he had a systemic yeast infection... could be nothing... but I'd take him to the vet to be sure... do his ears smell funny?
my english mastiff did stuff like this too, it is so funny to watch, and as they get bigger it seems like it doesn't change they still get little burst of energy and do it... LOL @ tubertomp, and jstnicki it is not ear infection or ear mites, Really are you that slow? why would you even type something like that, it just shows that the only reason is to make some one upset or to be mean, well you know what, the world would of been better if both of your mothers would have swallowed.....
he's not being a wierdo he's shaking his head most likely because he has an ear infection, and he might be trying to scratch his body with the sofas due to fleas. you should learn to take care of your dog, you wouldn't want to live in that condition, don't put your dog through that.
Thats just a good ole case of the zoomies, my mastiff does it ALL the time

did you get this dog from a shelter because dogs from shelters mostly have emotional problems and issues. ;)

All puppies, of every breed do this. It's so much fun to watch them be playful and go a little nuts.
