BURBANK, ILL - The St. Laurence Vikings basketball game against the Brother Rice Crusaders was an exciting, well-fought battle. The action started right away as the two teams bounced back and forth for the lead. Whenever a shot missed, the opposing team leaped for the rebound. You could feel the energy coming from both the players and the crowd. As the first half went on both teams kept giving it their all, but Br. Rice managed to maintain a slight lead. At the end of the first half, Br. Rice was in the lead with a score of 34-25, but this didn't break the Vikings' determination.

As the second half began, the Vikes tried hard to over-take the Crusaders, and the Crusaders tried just as hard to maintain their lead. The Vikes managed to tie with the Crusaders, but the Crusaders eventually took the lead again. As the game came down to the last few seconds, the Vikes managed to make one last shot, but it wasn't enough. The Br. Rice Crusaders won with a score of 52-58. The Vikings' gave it their best shot, but it seems that the Crusaders just came prepared with a better battle strategy.
