My uncle plays harmonica since 80's, and he said to me my harmonica isn't ready for bending yet, because it's kinda new (a few weeks). It's a HERING on a C key (don't know if it exists on your country, I'm from Brazil).

So, my question is: Do you think it's necessary a good use of my harmonica before I can bend?

Sometimes, I think I bend some notes, therefore I can't be sure of it because it sound's like a mouth wah.

It is a good idea to play it two or three times without attempting bends to break it in. You can bend it out of the box however no problem.

help please. i'm struggling for the past 3 days to learn how to bend and still didnt get it. you say that the tongue goes back but does the tip of it go upwards, downwards or remains centered?

Ronnie, I have a quick question.. First off your lessons are great and a lot of help. I was just wondering what the down falls of are bending note using only your throat. Im able to simply close open my throat with litte jaw movement and bend notes, with pretty good range. I was wondering if I should still use my tongue? hope all is well

Thanks to this vid I was able to bend my first hour with my first harmonica, the Hohner Pocket Pal. I was bending on 1 draw. Can I control it and really put it to good use.... no way, not yet. I struggle to even blow in only one hole at a time and other typical beginner issues. I am just saying this is a great vid. The profile view is worth more than a thousand words!!!!
