On Friday, July 16th 2010, I visited the Patterson/Gimlin film site at Bluff Creek in Northern California. Veteran bigfoot researcher and friend Cliff Barackman led a small group of us to the site in the early afternoon. This brief clip shows the site as it looks now; much different than the scene as filmed over 40 years ago. Note the embankment in the background that I refer to as a "shelf"; this was the sandbar that the female sasquatch strode across.

  • Me and my brother are going there at the end of this Summer. How long of a hike does it take to get to the film location from the trailhead?

  • @MondoBone There are a few ways to get to the film site. You can watch the PGF Site Videos on the BFRO's YouTube channel for more information.

  • can you drink that water?

  • @scrollandkey Indeed; at least at that time. Myself and the others at the site drank quite a bit of it.
