I grew up singing hymns and honestly feel they are foundations that we in a NOW day generation should continue to pass on to future generations. This is my most favorite hymn...ALOHA from Hawaii...

The chord texture is country. There is nothing wrong with playing that way our calling it country. I play hymns like this all the time. The young man was just calling it country because in music theory thats what it is. I love hymns thats played this way

What a beautiful hymn! It had disappeared from youtube so I thank whoever re-posted it! The words are so uplifting! Note to young SINGERS AND MUSICIANS: There is a powerful message in this hymn...please learn the hymns, young people! Alot of what we're calling gospel these days is not really gospel ..AT ALL!

I love this song as well, but this song was not the closing song! I was there, it was in the middle. The closing song was "When I Get There" led by Sharon Jackson!
