Korbel played amazingly in this game. That said, props to Mitzutani for keeping his cool. I'm sure he didn't expecting Korbel to be so consistent, such great footwork, etc., but Mitzutani was able to maintain an extremely high level of play and not get flustered, even until the very end. Great match!

And some people say the players of past wasnt good as the current ones. But they forget that in the past they had hide serve and smaller balls, that change everything in therms of rallyes and impressions.

and I think Korbel lacks power and he should do smth else, not TT )

Like the famous WWII American General Douglas MacArthur once said, “Old soilders never die; they just fade away.” What he said about old soldiers is also true about old professional table tennis players like Petr Korbel (fourth in the men’s singles of 1996 Olympics), Jean-Michel Saive, Persson, etc. #LOL
korbel is 40 years old and still such a great player!!! he deserved to win!!!
