Billy Crystal at bat

Mar. 13 - Comedian Billy Crystal got to be a New York Yankee for a day in a training game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Crystal led the first inning as the team's designated hitter He managed to foul one pitch and the count was 3 and 2 before the Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher was able to strike him out. Crystal has some baseball experience, he went to college on a scholarship.

Yeah right, I once spent an eternity one day at a theater watching City Slickers. Look, if you want to call this guy a comedy legend, go ahead. I think he's an adequate, functionally sound comic character at best. He happened to make a douchebag move on TV the other day re MR folks, and I think he and the sons of George Steinbrenner disgraced Yankee pride for a brief moment with that stunt. Hopefully, it will be forgotten.

Apparently having talent and earning the right to play on a major league field had nothing to do with it either. But you are right about one thing: BC is legendary in his self-absorption. I saw a few minutes of that crappy stage show he pedals.
